Leading online pokies developer NetEnt is shaking up the slots world with a trio of new releases dedicated to some of the world’s greatest rock performers.
The first of these, Guns N Roses, was released in January 2016 amidst much fanfare and it has proved to be a huge hit with players around the world and is NetEnt’s most successful release to date. Faithfully recreating the dynamism of the band’s live performances, this 5 reel 20 payline online pokie enables players to choose their own soundtrack from one of five of the band’s biggest hits, including Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child O’ Mine and Paradise City.

Available to play in both mobile and desktop editions, and packed with a host of bonus features and some of NetEnt’s latest online pokie technology, such as expanding wilds and a range of different and innovative free spin rounds, the gameplay on Guns N Roses is fast-paced and takes you in a variety of different directions at the same time – just like the band itself. And no fan of Guns N Roses could be anything but impressed with the attention to detail in the overall design, which is set in a live performance and cleverly utilises the band’s logo and members, including Slash and Axel Rose.
Building on this success, NetEnt has two further new releases planned. The first of these is a new online slot based on legendary guitarist and songwriter Jimi Hendrix, expected to be released worldwide on 21 April 2016. The online pokie has been developed in association with the companies managed by Hendrix’s family and so has the promise of authenticity and, like the Guns N Roses slot, access to the master showman’s music as well – it is believed that songs to be included in the soundtrack to the pokie include Foxy Lady, Purple Haze, Crosstown Traffic and Little Wing.
Expected to be in 3D and visually stunning, recreating the experience of watching Hendrix perform live, this online pokie promises to be an exciting addition to the NetEnt world of rock collection.
Rounding out the trio of new releases is a new Motorhead online slot, which is set to be unleashed on the world on 22 September 2016. The timing of the recent announcement of this new slot at the ICE Totally Gaming 2016 event in London was made all the more poignant by the death in December 2015 of the band’s iconic frontman Lemmy and so fans of the band are looking ahead to this new release with a building sense of anticipation.
NetEnt has certainly upped the stakes with this trio of new online slots and has shown itself not only to be at the cutting edge of technology but is also creating new audiences for online pokies, while its focus on much-loved figures from the world of rock’n’roll shows its commitment to giving punters what they want.
